All visits are non-contact and conducted through a glass partition. To find out if the facility has a video option, call 518-295-2264. Inmates are allowed 2 visitors per day.

Schoharie County, New York Information

Schoharie County is located in the eastern central part of New York State. At the 2010 census, the population was 32,749. Schoharie County is New York’s fifth-least populated county. The county seat is Schoharie. The name of the county comes from a Mohawk word meaning “floating driftwood.” The county was founded in 1795, and the largest village is Cobleskill. The southern portion of the county lies within the Catskill mountains, and the Schoharie Creek watershed is in an area of almost 950 square miles. The county includes Gilboa Dam and the Schoharie Reservoir both are part of the New York City Water Supply System
