Contact visiting days are subject to change. Those under the age of 18 cannot visit unless they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Photo IDs are required.
Visitors must sign in for at least minutes prior to visiting. Contact visits are videotaped, and such video tapes can be used as evidence in a disciplinary or criminal proceeding.

Cortland County, New York Information

Courtland County is in the center of New York State. As of the 2010 census, the population was 49,336. The county seat is Cortland. The country is named after Pierre Van Cortlandt who was president of the convention at Kingston and wrote the first New York State Constitution in 1777. He was also the first lieutenant governor of the state. The Courtland apple is named for the county. The county is located in the glaciated Appalachian Plateau and is known as the southeastern gateway to the Finger Lakes Region.
