Visitation, Money, Mail and Calls

All visitors must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to a scheduled visit. Visitors who up less than 15 minutes early will be turned away. Visitors must dress appropriate and show property identification.
Contact visits are allowed two times per week on Tuesday and Saturday. There are three sessions each day or contact visits and these sessions are: 12:00 to 1:00 , 1:30 to 2:30, and 3:00 to 4:00.

Lewis County, New York Information

Lewis County is located in the northwestern portion of New York State. As of the 2010 census the population was 27,087. Lewis county is the fourth-least populated county in New York. The county seat is Lowville. The county is named after Morgan Lewis, the Governor of New York when the county was established.
Lewis County was very sparsely occupied until the end of the 18th Century. The land was originally pat of the territory of the Iroquois until after the Amerian Revolutionary War.
