The Sheriff’s Office patrols a total area of 1,367 square miles of which 710 square miles is water. The Office protects 742,474 (2081 est) citizens. The Jail consists of an administrative division and four bureaus, civil, police, jail and court security. The Sheriff’s Office consists of a parks patrol, marine unit, horse mounted patrol, SWAT, K-9, Bomb Squad, Patrol and Investigations.
