Visitation, Money, Mail, and Calls

Visitation at the Seneca County Jail includes two one-hour sessions of contact visitation for each inmate per week. Visitors need a valid form of photo identification, and those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Visitors will be scanned with a metal doctor, and all items not allowed in the visiting room can be held in a locker.

Funds can be deposited into an inmate’s commissary account via mail, kiosk, phone, or internet. Postal money orders may be sent to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, and the postal order must be made out in the inmate’s name and issued within 60 days.

Seneca County is located in the west central portion of New York State. A 2010 census the population was 35,251, and the county seat is Waterloo. The county’s name comes from the Iroquois that occupied part of the region.
