Visiting times and days are posted in the housing units and in the lobby of the jail. Check with the housing Unit Officer if you have questions. All visitors must present a valid driver’s license or identification and visitors must be appropriately dressed.

All visitors must have a proper identification card. Those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Visitors must be appropriately dressed. Visitors are also subject to search.

Clinton County, New York Information

Clinton County is in the northeaster most corner of New York. At the 2010 census the population was 82,128 and the county seat is Plattsburgh. The county is named after George Clinton, the first Governor of New York who went on to become Vice President. He was also a founding father who represented New York in the Continental Congress. The county was founded in 1788. The county is bordered by the Canadian province of Quebec.
