The Niagara County Jail Is dedicated to providing and maintaining a safe and secure facility to lawfully detain and house inmates. The control center watches over 56 cells arranged around a unit control center permitting observation of inmate outdoor recreation activity plus cell monitoring. The facility has 460 beds and is a medium adult facility.

Visitation Hours are available on Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays between 98:30 am and 2:30 pm.

Niagara County, New York Information

Niagara County is in the western part of New York State. At the 2010 census, the population was 216,469, and the county seat is Lockport. The name comes from the Iroquois word, Onguiaahra meaning the strait or thunder of waters. Niagara County is directly across from the province of Ontario. Niagara Falls and Fort Niagara is located in Niagara County. In the summer of 2008, the county celebrated its 200th birthday. The county was formed on March 11, 1808.
