The sheriff’s office patrols an area of 997 miles, of which 29 square miles is water. The office protects, as of 2017, a population of 75,485. It is the mission of the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office to provide professional, high quality and effective law enforcement services in partnership with criminal justice entities, county, local government, and the public. Sullivan County, New York Information

Sullivan County is in the southern arm of New York State. As of the 2010 census, the population was 77,547, and the county seat is Monticello. The county’s name honors Major General John Sullivan who was a hero in the Revolutionary War.
